Sahuarita, May 2023 – Following the resounding success of the recent 12th Annual Nut Run 5K, Farmers Investment Co proudly announces donation to their beneficiary: the Walden Grove High School Cross Country program. Additionally, two other supporting organizations such as the Green Valley Firefighters Association who prepared breakfast for the hungry runners, and the Walden Grove High School Photography Club who captured some of the greatest moments will receive contributions. On May 7, 2024, Farmers Investment Co. had the honor of delivering to the school, much to the excitement of the students and coach Marcos Blanco of the Walden Grove High School Cross Country program.
The 12th Annual Nut Run which took place on April 13, 2024 saw an incredible turnout of 275 participants plus volunteers. Thanks to their collective efforts, the event not only provided a memorable experience for all involved but also generated substantial funds to support the local groups.
“We are thrilled to contribute to the Walden Grove High School Cross Country program, as well as other deserving organizations in our community,” said Paula Beemer, event coordinator of Farmers Investment Co “This donation underscores our commitment to supporting youth development, community engagement, and the spirit of volunteerism.”
The donation is a testament to the generosity of sponsors, the dedication of participants, and the hard work of volunteers who contributed to the event’s success.
The 12th Annual Nut Run was the first of three runs of the Pecan Orchard Series that takes place in the pecan orchards, in Sahuarita in 2024. The 13th Annual Breeze in the Trees is scheduled to take place on Aug.17 at 7 a.m. at 1625 E Sahuarita Rd., Sahuarita, AZ 85629
